| Debt Free has been involved in many special events, ranging from small fundraising projects to much larger educational credit and debt counseling programs. Approximately seven years ago, Debt Free's board of directors took note of the alarming growth in consumer debt. This growth has led to an all-time high in personal bankruptcy filings in the United States. In 1997, this alarming trend prompted the board's recommendation that Debt Free become involved in assisting the American public by educating them on how to properly manage their personal finances. |
|
| Since inception, Debt Free's credit counseling and debt management programs have grown dramatically. Debt Free is now assisting tens of thousands of American families with their finances to help them save for the more important things in life: homes, children, education, and retirement. |
